Take less sodium
You are suggested to take less sodium, because excessive sodium intake may cause edema, heart failure or even short of breathing. To reduce the sodium in your diet, you are suggested:
- avoid high-sodium seasonings, including soy salt, table salt, sea salt, garlic salt etc.
- take less packaged foods. Most of them contain high level sodium.
- find substitute goods for salt, such as herb or new spices.
